Considered one of the most important showrunners in Spain, Alfonso Blanco is the CEO and executive producer of Portocabo. Over the years, he has consolidated the company’s position within the main European co-production markets, establishing an extensive network of partnerships to produce drama for the global market. Since founding Portocabo, he has coproduced content with countries such as Italy, France and Portugal, and drama channels and platforms like Disney Italy, RAI, RTP, TV3, TVG, RTVE, Movistar Plus+, ARTE France, Paramount+ and Atresmedia. Some of the latest television series he has produced with Portocabo include both seasons of Rapa (Movistar Plus+), both seasons of  Hierro (Movistar Plus+ and ARTE France), both seasons of Dry Water (RTP and TVG), Honor (Atresmedia), The Envoys (Paramount+) The Argonauts (RTVE) or Vidago Palace (RTP and TVG). He has also produced the films Cuñados and +Cuñados. He recently became one of the first Galician member of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and has been named one of the 50 most influential leaders in Ibero-American drama. Since 2023, he is also the president of the Galician Audiovisual Cluster.
