Jorge Granier is a renowned media and entertainment entrepreneur with a vast experience in creating, producing, selling, and distributing content for traditional and digital platforms. As an executive producer, he successfully brought and produced the hit show Jane the Virgin to the US, for which he received several awards including the Golden Globes. Granier was the founder and CEO of Pongalo (acquired by ViX, now TelevisaUnivision), a digital ecosystem of media properties, including the Pongalo OTT platform and Pongalo Networks’ YouTube channels. Under his leadership, Pongalo became the largest collection of Latino-focused digital rights globally. He founded and launched Spanish language dubbing company Sonoclips (acquired by Vme Media). Before that, Granier served as head of digital and director of new business development at RCTV International, where he launched their digital content app, and set up production projects at ABC, FOX, CBS, Warner Bros. Variety has recognised Granier’s accomplishments, including being named in their “Dealmakers Impact Report 2014” and their “10 Latinos to Watch” in 2016. Adweek also named him among their “Young Influentials for 2016.” Granier is a member and judge of several prestigious organisations, including the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (Emmys), International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and Producers Guild of America (PGA).
