Monica Albuquerque is Head of Artistic Talents & Scripted Development at Warner Bros. Discovery Latin America. The executive is responsible for leading the development, research, negotiation, hiring and management of actors and actresses, directors, writers and other talent for fiction and non-fiction productions. Mônica is also responsible for monitoring the development of all scripted projects on the Max streaming platform, working directly with the best creators, directors, producers and technicians in the Latin American market to expand and create new formats for Latin America.
The executive also works in close and permanent contact with the production and distribution divisions of the company’s services for linear and digital channels – including the streaming service and the basic channels. She is the first Brazilian named among the 50 most influential women with the greatest impact in the entertainment industry in the world by the International Women’s Impact Report of the American magazine Variety, in 2019. Mônica Albuquerque worked at TV Globo for 21 years, seven of them as head of the board of Development and Artistic Talents of the broadcaster.
