With a degree in audiovisual communication from the University of Navarra, Herreras began her professional career as a scriptwriter for Globomedia in series such as Periodistas or Compañeros. In 2001, she took charge of the department of project development at Sogecine where she worked on highly relevant titles such as The Sea Inside (Mar Adentro) or Ágora. In 2007, she joined as producer and head of fiction development at Canal+ where she produced the first fictions made by a pay television platform in Spain: ¿Qué fue de Jorge Sanz? and Crematorium (Crematorio). She is currently editorial head of original production at Movistar Plus+.
